If you've seen a sudden increase in indoor soccer fields in South Florida lately, you're not alone! In the last couple of years there has been a burst of indoor soccer venues and small sided 5 vs 5 style turf fields popping up everywhere. In Palm Beach County, Broward, and Miami, we've seen new sites established in cities like Fort Lauderdale, Hollywood, Doral, Miami, Kendall, and many others. But without a doubt, the two highest concentration of new sites are in Miami and Doral.
New places for indoor soccer in Miami such as Revo Soccer and Brickell Soccer Rooftop, have taken the game to a new level. Using top of the line field materials, technology, and a locations like no other, venues such as these naturally stand out and are very attractive for the soccer fans to come out and enjoy. You have Soccer Cage Miami, Gol Planet Soccer, Midtown Indoor Soccer, Indoor Soccer Central, and also Downtown Soccer in... well, Downtown. Just to name a few.

So yes, it definitely is a plus for the soccer community to have new places to play near by and new options to choose from, but one has to remember that quality always comes before quantity! Just because a new place opens up around the corner doesn't mean it's where you'd want to go play. It is important to consider things like: quality of turf, availability, facility extras, location, and of course the size and type of field.
For example, the new indoor soccer complex down the street could have poor field materials, such as thin or unpadded turf... or even worse, carpet! (Believe me there are places that dare!) The hours of operations might not be the ones that best work out for you. The facility might be boring and have no extra activities and entertainment other than to sit around and wait for your turn to play. The size and type of field might also be one that you may not prefer to play in... You have the fields that are surrounded by a wall and hence there is no out of bounds and play in continuous, and you have the lined field where the ball can go out frequently and interrupt the game more often. And of course... size does matters! Because we've all been to those tiny indoor soccer venues crammed into a warehouse which hardly allow 5 v 5 play without everyone being on top of each other. Spacious, yet not too big fields, are the ones to look for.

Just to name a few other fields, Doral enjoys places such as All Star Indoor Soccer, "La Canchita", Revo Soccer, Fever 5, and Soccer Planet USA.
In conclusion, many indoor soccer and outdoor small sided fields have opened recently in the South Florida - Miami area. But due to the quality and additional considerations mentioned throughout the article, it is our opinion that the best indoor soccer fields in the moment are in Doral, FL.
